NPK fertiliser

Nitrogen - Phosphorus - Potassium
Frangipani flower (grey)

NPK Fertiliser

The abbreviation NPK fertiliser stands for the three elements nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K). Each element has a different function and effect on the plant and is urgently needed for healthy plant growth. Depending on the genus, the growth phase and the desired result, a suitable ratio of NPK fertilisers is chosen. We offer a wide range of water-soluble NPK fertilisers for Plumeria.

We have selected our NPK fertilisers directly for the Plumeria for our customers. We have taken all possible types of culture into consideration. No matter whether you keep your Plumerias in soil or in hydroponics. We are sure to have a suitable fertiliser for you, which we have also tested sufficiently on our own plants in recent years.

Our NPK fertilisers are all water-soluble fertilisers and not liquid fertilisers. They are usually mixed with 2g per 1 litre of water and are then given to the plants once a week as irrigation water. Of course, you can also mix a larger quantity, which you can then store and use for up to 20 days.

With our two fertiliser spoons you also have the right tool at hand to dose the fertiliser correctly.

How it works of NPK fertilisers

The NPK fertilisers are the basic fertilisers that are necessary for your plants to grow and survive. Each element in the NPK fertiliser has its own effect.
N

Nitrogen (N): "N" is the chemical symbol for nitrogen. Nitrogen can fulfil various functions in the crop and is therefore particularly important. Nitrogen in NPK fertiliser is mainly responsible for the growth of plants and their regeneration after the winter break. If too little nitrogen is available to your plants, they will not grow optimally and there will be fewer flowers. However, an excess of nitrogen has a number of disadvantages: It leads to delayed flowering and the plant tissue is very soft and therefore less stable, which means that the plumeria can eventually be attacked by more diseases and pests. If the plant is offered too little nitrogen, various deficiency symptoms can occur. A good dose of nitrogen is therefore very important.

P

Phosphorus (P): promotes root formation. The "P" in NPK fertiliser refers to phosphorus as an important source of nutrients. The essential functions of phosphorus are the transfer and storage of chemical energy and root formation. In addition, it is essential for photosynthesis. Phosphorus is therefore helpful from the very beginning. A lack of phosphorus ensures that the plants are small and tall and the stems remain thin. In addition, the leaves as well as the roots become hard and growth slows down significantly. In contrast, an excess of phosphorus (which, however, rarely happens in practice) indirectly damages the plants by not providing enough trace elements. As with nitrogen, it is important to ensure a good dosage of phosphorus to avoid deficiency symptoms.

K

Potassium (K): helps the plant maintain its moisture balance by assisting the opening and closing of its stomata. "K" potassium is the third nutrient in the NPK fertiliser. Potassium in the NPK fertiliser ensures water uptake and thus an adequate water balance for the plant. This is associated with a strong plant substance and high resistance. At the same time, resistance to diseases. As a result of a potassium deficiency, slackness occurs in the plant and root formation is impaired. In addition, the plant transpires more during dry periods and thus absorbs less water. An excess of potassium leads to an excessively high salt concentration and thus to a reduced uptake of beneficial nutrients such as magnesium.
