Frangipani Care Calendar - OCTOBER -
There are still warm days. However, you should slowly reduce the watering towards the end of October and always pay attention to the night temperatures. If these drop below 5°C, the plants must be brought indoors. If the plants still have umbels, the temperature limit should be 15°C!
Slowly reduce watering towards the end of the month and always make sure that the soil is not too moist. Cold and damp can quickly lead to rot.
You can still fertilise your frangipani once a week. We now recommend that you only use the Plumeria Special Fertiliser so that the roots still have plenty of strength.
You can still cut cuttings. The advantage: The cuttings are full of vigour and therefore also easier to root!
You can still enjoy beautiful flowers. Flowering Plumerias should be brought indoors at night when temperatures drop below 15°C.
Seeds are no longer the issue right now. How are your seedlings doing? They need good care so that they can survive the winter dormancy without any problems.
Please do not repot now, because the time to grow up to the winter break is very short and the plant may be damaged.
Unfortunately, now is not the ideal time to get new cuttings and root them. Stragglers or existing ones will hopefully sprout roots soon.
