Plant Shipping - Prices

For the shipping of plants, different shipping costs apply. If you are interested in the general shipping costs for everything except plants, please visit our shipping cost overview.

When shipping with plants, we try to package them in a shock- and drop-proof manner, in addition to the already secure packaging. We also send a maximum of 4 plants per package. If the growth form of the plant does not allow it, we will ship only one plant per package. We do not charge any extra costs in this case.

In the weeks leading up to the launch, we conducted several tests with packages to test the delivery times with different shipping providers and to understand their peculiarities.

Starting from the 2021 season, all plants will also be weighed during processing. This allows us to further optimize shipping. However, since we have additional costs for plant shipping for

• bamboo sticks (3-10 pieces)
• additional securing materials (bubble wrap, foam wrap)
• air cushions
• corrugated paper

the packaging costs will be added to the regular shipping price when ordering plants.

We ship our plants exclusively in very sturdy double-walled cartons. Our three box sizes are 80x30x20, 80x30x25, and 80x40x40 centimeters. 90% of all orders can be shipped with these boxes.

The next size is the XL Plant Shipping – this includes all plants between 80 and 100 centimeters in total height. These will be shipped in 1000x30x20 or 1000x30x30 centimeter boxes.

All plants taller than 1 meter fall into the category of XXL Plant Shipping and can still be shipped in a 1200x300x300 or 1500x200x200 box up to a maximum total height of 1.30m.

Since prices for packaging have partially increased by up to 40% since 2022, we unfortunately have to charge a surcharge depending on the category, as for example a 1000x300x300 box already costs nearly 6.00€ at wholesale price and we also have to account for it through recycling. For large boxes from 1.20m, the costs are now already at nearly 8.00€ per box – ONLY THE EMPTY BOX!
