Structure of a Frangipani Seed

In addition to the video where we explain how to properly sow Frangipani seeds, we have precisely illustrated the structure of a single Frangipani seed here.

The seed consists of 2 parts. In the upper part is the wing, which ensures that the seed can fly in the wind and thus disperse very well.

The lower part is the embryo, the most important part of the Frangipani seed. In the illustration, we have also simulated how deep a seed needs to be inserted into the seed starting soil_.

You can check at any time whether seeds are generally viable. To do this, take the embryo between your thumb and index finger and press lightly. If you feel no resistance, this seed is not viable. If you feel resistance, this seed has an embryo. Whether it then germinates is still a question of care!

It is not necessary to soak Frangipani seeds before sowing!
