It often happens that Plumerias are purchased and customers then believe that something is wrong because they ordered a red, yellow, or orange color and the Plumeria suddenly only blooms in white. One of the main causes, however, is often the lack of sun. Plumerias change their flower color depending on sunlight. If your Plumeria, which should actually bloom pink or red, only blooms white, place it in the bright sun and you will see that new flowers will then have the corresponding color. In the picture on the right, you see a Plumeria rubra „Roma“ that should actually bloom pink. Unfortunately, the 4 white flowers received very little sunlight. The new flower in the background is now pink and thus corresponds to the flower color that the Plumeria rubra „Roma“ should have. Typical candidates for this are: Roma, Divine, Gina, Mardi Gras, Mystique, Nebels Rainbow… just to name a few.
